1954 Gibson LG-1

I picked this LG-1 from a session musician in California, “Mojo Larry,” Told me that it was a barn find brought back to life by his good friend, an accomplished Luthier in California. Thank goodness for that because it’s got lots of “Mojo.” It has a very bluesy voice, I guess that the ladder bracing gives it a unique tone. It had a lot of back and top repairs. It’s got a chunky but, comfortable neck profile. The sound hole is pretty chewed up and it’s got a very cool sunburst fade when in the sunlight. Overall it’s a great instrument that adds diversity to a lot of my bigger X-braced guitars. It’s very Vibey to say the least.
